After 17 years as an in-house and independent translator, I’ve developed a comprehensive range of skills and am proud to describe myself as a one-stop shop for translation and project management. My services include:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • • 17 years' experience in general and technical translation at 300K+ words per year
  • • Certified for FR>EN translation by the Corporation of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters of New Brunswick (CTINB) since 1997
  • • B.A. with Honours in French Linguistics and Spanish and B.Ed. with Concentration in French as Second Language from University of New Brunswick, Fredericton NB
  • • experience in the translation and revision of medical/insurance reports, annual reports and other financial/accounting text, technical manuals, user guides, meeting minutes, ISO documentation, interface menus, Web sites, certificates and other documents
  • • significant graphic design, web design and web content management experience
  • • outstanding eye for detail; skilled at checking documents for uniformity in multiple languages, including DE, IT, RU, SV and PL
  • • extensive expertise in linguistic project management, translation coordination, translator recruitment, cost/time evaluation, and ISO 9000 implementation
  • • approved for NATO Secret (2002) and Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability (2001) security clearance
  • • broad life experience including advanced service, management and entrepreneurial experience in the retail, hotel and nightclub, call centre and e-learning industries
